Though they have excellent theology in doctrine, it does not go far into the lives of ministering to others and the congregation interpersonally. Their congregation splits about every 5-10 years over differences about three times now trying to escape the days their church was practically a cult with much infidelity with the pastor at that time and even the sexual abuse of a young woman by her brothers. And though you can take the leader away, you can't take the cult-like spirit away from these sheep. Some of their greatest treasures were ruined because of poor church leadership including families torn apart because their elders were deluded and divided, so worried about protecting their own reputations rather than their own family members, even going so far as to suggest that some of their children might not be saved because of the sins of the parents. The culty culture is especially toxic for young women and dangerous for children in my opinion. The sad part is that those who are left cannot see it or will not change. They have recently switched pastors which is wholly putting a band aid on the issue. This church needs much prayer. Please pray for them.
